Hi, Just looking for advice or some reassurance. My 4 month old is purely breast fed and does half hour each side at every feed. In fact she doesn't pull herself off I have to take her off.She seems to suck most of the time, sometimes falling asleep but as soon as I try to take her off she starts sucking again. I find myself limiting her to 20 minutes each side if we have to be somewhere during the day. She is not a big girl about 5.4kg and she is feeding about 5times a day, with about 4 hrs between feeds. She was sleeping through the night but the last week she has begun to wake again early morning for a feed. I have spoken to lactation consultants, health nurses and the breast feeding association about it and they keep on telling me she'll cut down the time by 6 weeks, then 3 months then 16weeks, well these have all passed us by and no change. My husband gave her an expressed bottle the other night while I was out and she drank 260mls in about 25 minutes. Anyway advice or reassurance would be appreciated. Now poff for another marathon feed. Thanks
